How do I get from Paris Eurostar Gare du Nord to Versailles?

We are taking the Eurostar from London to Paris in July. How do I get from Gare du Nord to the Metro Versailles-Rive-Gauche train?

Hi,

At the Gare du Nord take line 5 of the metro (Direction: Place d%26#39;Italie) to Gare d%26#39;Austerlitz and from there take line C of the RER to Versailles - Rive Gauche (make sure that you board on a train that its destination is Versailles-Rive Gauche and to be on the safe side make sure that the name of this station is illuminated on the board near the platform, which specifies the stations the next train will stop at).

A ticket that covers the whole journey (metro+RER) could be bought at Gare du Nord (2,9€). Keep it till you leave %26quot;Versailles - Rive Gauche%26quot; station.

Use http://www.ratp.fr/ if you need more details. It says 55 minutes.

Follow the signs for the metro station. Once you enter the metro station, buy your ticket, then follow the signs for Line 5, direction Porte d%26#39;Italie.

Thank you!

If I have a 10times ticket, and use it for metro line 5 to get Gare d%26#39;Austerlitz,can I buy the line C of the RER on the train or buy it at Gare d%26#39;Austerlitz or Gare de Nord?

Look forward to your reply!

Hi,

Notice that there isn%26#39;t a %26quot;10times ticket%26quot; but a carnet (10 separate, non-nominative tickets which are sold together for a discount)

The ticket for any RER itinerary that starts/ends in Paris allows starting/ending the itinerary by a metro, so if your departure station is Gare du Nord, you can buy there a ticket to Versailles. This ticket will be valid for the metro from Gare du Nord to Gare d%26#39;Austerlitz as well.
