We fly into Nice and need to get to Cannes. What is the easiest/cheapest way to get to our hotel. We are staying at the Hotel Esterel 15 Rue du 24 Aout. Also, we would also like to take a day trip up to Moushiers St. Marie. Is there a bus that goes up there or do we need to rent a car? Thank you.

The cheapest way from Airport to Cannes is the 200 bus from Terminal 1, at one euro, but typically takes two hours during which you will likely have to stand. The easiest is to take the Airport - Cannes Express bus which costs around 15 euro but does it in under a half hour
Moustiers is up by the Verdon Gorges and Castelane - pretty sure you will need a car - its not exactly a common journey.

The cheapest public transport from Nice airport to Cannes is the 200 bus @ 1 euro, but the journey can be extremely long and uncomfortable. The fare includes hand luggage and 1 suitcase no larger than 140cm3 (40x50x70cm). A charge of 1 euro is made per extra bag. Any oversize bag costs 5 euros.
The 210 express coach is the most direct and easiest. It takes around 45 minutes. Single adult fares are about 15 euros including luggage, but discounts are available for return tickets, groups, etc.

Both the 200 and 210 terminate at the old port in Cannes
The Esterel Hotel is about 5 to 10 minutes walk from the bus station, opposite the rail station.
Another option is to get the train from Nice St Augustin station to Cannes Gare (railway station). The rail journey takes aound 30 minutes. It is about 15 minutes walk from Terminal 1 at Nice Airport to Nice St Augustin (or 1 euro fare on the 23 bus). The adult single rail fare is ~ 5 euros.
Details are on the Nice Airport website
Re Moustiers Ste Marie
This is one of the places we hope to visit soon :)
It looks like it is possible to get there using public transport (buses and trains take you to the area), but timings do not seem convenient for a day trip.
There is a daily bus from Grasse to Castellane

Renting a car would give a lot more flexibility.
