I will be travelling to south of France in August for the first time, is it safe to walk around the town after dinner ?

Yes its very safe- there are lots of people walking around till late at night enjoying the ambiance.
Nevertheless its wise to take the usual precautions you would take anywhere - don%26#39;t flash money around, don%26#39;t get visibly drunk etc
