Bastille Day tripreport with photos

.......of the most delectable soldiers and firemen !

As I like to mix my photos with the %26quot;lyrics%26quot; in my Travel Diaries, you will find the Bastille Day story posted in my blog, including a visit to the glorious Four Seasons George V and lunch at La Régalade.

Sometime later today (I hope) I will have finished the report from my lunch at Le Taillevent, if anyone should be interested in an update on %26quot;dining at high tables%26quot; !

WOW your website is fantastic! I haven%26#39;t read it all, in fact I just started but I am so impressed. Thanks for sharing.

You%26#39;re most welcome. I write my Travel Diaries for a double purpose: to share them with all fellow Paris lovers - and also to keep them for my own sake.

Very entertaining report. Enjoyed it very much especially all the photos. Impressive website too.

Delightful report about the Fête Nationale, Gitte. I ALWAYS tell people that if they want to see the parade to post themselves around Rond Point and to be careful NOT to be completely under the trees if they want to see the flyovers.

Have to go back to the 14th and explore those little streets. Rue Didot is very famous thanks to George Brassens but I have not been in that area in years.

Had a friend on Avenue Jeam Moulin who unfortunately moved to a less interesting part of town.

thank you gitte

i really enjoyed you writing and photo journal

espicially the photos of the four seasons lobby and bar. I would like to have a cocktail in the courtyard there and lunch at some point during our visit in sept. I would like to ask you,,

Is lunch served in the courtyard or only inside at la galerie

i hope i am not asking this in the wrong place ,i wonder if you might comment on the menu there.

Nice photos, thanks for sharing them. Wished I were there for Bastille Day!

Can%26#39;t get past the nasty attitude of the La Regelade staff especially the headwaitress who seems to be a terror. Perhaps she%26#39;s scaring away patrons.

La photographe, I helped to run a café on rue Didot (even though it isn%26#39;t my neighborhood either!).

And indeed, Gitte had a coffee in my old café.
