La Sabranenque

Bonjour!

Anyone out there in the ether have any experience with the program sponsored by La Sabranenque in Provence? They are restoring a medieval village using ancient techniques. It sounds really great for someone wanting to learn stone cutting and stone building!

My Husband and I just returned from a two week session at La Sabranenque. We had a wonderful time. I would definately consider going back for another session in a few years.

During your time off in the afternoon and on the weekends there a quite a few things you can do. There are nice hikes and walks around the area of the village. There are also a few wineries within walking distance. During our session, about six of us split the cost of a taxi to Uzes for the afternoon. There is also a cafe/bar in the village and a lot of the volunteers would hang out down there in the afternoon. I was worried about not having enough to do in the afternoons but we really enjoyed being able to relax some afternoons.
