TGV/Talgo trains Barcelona-Narbonne and return

Hi,does anyone know an English-language Web site where I can check the schedules for the high-speed train going from Barcelona to Narbonne?

Also, I%26#39;d like to buy the train tickets online for our trip ahead of time if possible and have them sent to a U.S. address but so far, haven%26#39;t found any.

Thanks!

You can purchase your tickets from raileurope.com. Another great site for searching schedules is:

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

You can%26#39;t buy tickets on this site, except for travel in Germany, but it has more complete listing of trains, including regional trains.

Thanks!

Hi

just to say that the dedicated high speed train track is not yet ready, so you will have to change on the border for most trains.

This journey is still faster by car.

There are only two direct TALGO trains each way Barcelona - Narbonne and vv.

The local trains on the French and Spanish side generally do not connect at the border stations as the timetables are not co-ordinated. I have personally suffered a 1hr 45 minute wait at the dismal border station of Cerbere. OK if you are a train buff as there is a large freight yard alongside, but bleak it certainly is.

The local trains are slow, cheap and on the Spanish side rather uncomfortable with plastic seats. No reservations or advance purchase on either side of the border.

Some of the Spanish local trains run through the mountain tunnel to the French side at Cerbere, from where a highly infrequent service of local French trains go to Narbonne.

The www.reiseauskunft.bahn.de site should identify those journeys as well as the direct ones.
