Morning
we are looking at traveling from lake como to Strasbourg the first week in October, we only have one night as breaking up the journey. The train gets in at approx 4pm, we were then thinking of getting the train the next day to Lille (via marne la Vall?)so leaving in the morning. Is this the best way? and if so what would you reccommend we do with the few hours we have in Strasbourg?

As you have such a short time I would say to check in to your hotel and then walk to the Cathedral and see that, wander around the old streets nearby then get something to eat. That late in the year you take a risk with the weather so have a raincoat handy.
Going back to UK via Lille or Paris is not much different - easier to change trains in Lille of course, but if you have a long wait for the connection it%26#39;s a bit boring.

Thank you very much. have started to look at hotels and cant wait to see Strasbourg it looks lovely. Lets hope we get a good day with the weather.
