My husband and I are planning to take the TGV from Paris to Avignon. Besides the obvious price difference, does anyone know the other main differences between the 2 classes of service? We would opt for the cheaper one unless there is something glaring that we should know!! Any input would be helpful. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Depending upon how you book your tickets, First Class is not always more expense then Second Class.
Outside of the obvious bigger seats and fewer people to a car, some of the FC cars have power connections which can allow you to plug in computers, DVD players, or MP3 players.
For a trip of just a few hours, either way you%26#39;ll be comfortable.

Unless you can get a very good deal on 1st Class, I would not bother. The seats in 2nd class are appreciably wider and more comfortable than those in aircraft.
