www.specialapartments.com and then WW1 battlefields

I am wanting to travel to Paris between 29/12/09 and 4/1/10. Has anyone used any of the apartments from www.specialapartments.com? I am interested in a studio or 1 bedroom central to most tourist spots.

Also, has anyone travelled from Paris to Pozieres and Passchendaele for 3-4 days to visit battlefields. What is the easiest way to get around?

Hi there, we stayed in an apartment with www.specialapartments.com and it was fabulous. We stayed on Ile St Louis and it was central to everything. Just wonderful. It was one bedroom with a little kitchen area, separate toilet and shower room. We did have to climb four flights of stairs to get to it but we stayed 5 nights and it was only once with luggage. Geraldine waited for us to arrive after we called her after landing. There was something going on at the Notre Dame so we had to go another way. She was very patient and helpful.

I have read some bad comments about them but we really didn%26#39;t have any problems and loved the apartment and location. We were also there in summer so but you should be ok in winter.

We only did the WW2 battlefields around Normandy and can recommend a fabuous B%26amp;B if you%26#39;re interested.

We are travelling from Paris to Arras for a tour of Vimy Ridge. We don%26#39;t have enough time to head up to Passchendaele : (

We are taking the train from Gard du Nord and return the same day.

Once we get there, we are taking a tour. The van has 2-6 people in the tour.
