Just wondering if anybody has stayed at this apartment before and can give some details about it. There%26#39;s no map of the area so I can%26#39;t figure out exactly where it%26#39;s located. The only address listed is in a guest%26#39;s comment%26#39;s so I%26#39;m a little weary of going just by that.

i am presently living in marais (until next week!) and know the area well. rue poitou is a very nice street...its up and coming so some of the buldings are better than others. its is full of little boutiques and galleries. hope that helps.

I know this area well as we%26#39;ve had an apartment nearby for 10 years. I recognize the building as I was visiting a friend in his apartment and looked out and actually recall seeing this building (it has a big, ancient thermometer on it).
This is a great area, you%26#39;ll love it. One of the photos is of Le Reconfort .. a definite restaurant to try. They have kir lavande (lavender dir) that is very unique and a great menu. Also, on the street is a very good Italian restaurant and a few others. There are several independent clothing designer shops and within a block you are on rue vielle de temple.
Walking towards where we live there is the musee picasso, etc. You%26#39;ll love the area. Try L%26#39;Apparement for a good value dinner right near the Musee Picasso. Also, P%26#39;tit Curieux towards the north of the Marais for great lunch value.
The apartment looks small but it is a studio and that is normal. Price seems right for the location and from the comments the owners are very much engaged with the clients. I%26#39;m definitely bookmarking it for the future.

Wow thanks so much for all the great info. It sounds nice and I%26#39;m glad you could identify the neighborhood from pictures only since the address wasn%26#39;t given by the owner anywhere. Looks like now I need to do some more digging on the owner to make sure this is legit. Thanks again!
