Help-Debit Card help!!!

We have previously used a ATM in Europe. Just TODAY (we are leaving tomorrow) we got a letter from our bank that says using our debit card with a pin comes off the PULSE network and not the VISA network that is the logo on the card. (Will work from the VISA network as a credit).

The logos on the back of the card are PULSE and PLUS.

From reading on the internet PULSE looks like a US only network.

Does anyone know if this card will work in Europe?

The person from our bank is %26quot;Out to lunch%26quot; and nobody else knows anything.

Plus is part of Visa and is widely supported in Europe (Cirrus is the other major ATM network).

Cirrus and Pulse networks work perfectly well at French ATMs. These networks charge the same 1% currency conversion fee on cash withdrawals as do Visa and Mastercard on credit card purchases.

Note: if you typically choose that withdrawals be made from differing accounts, French ATMs with not offer a choice and will generally withdraw funds from your checking account.

Thank you...I knew I would get answers here before I could get answers from the bank.
