What is the nightlife in JLP like in September? Thinking of a long weekend with my boyfriend so want plenty of bars and restaurants but nothing too rowdy. Also where is a good area to stay that is a little bit away from the main nightlife but close to decent beaches?

hotel juana is very good!great restaurant,pool and private beach.good resto on beach as well.beach is only 1 block walk.

The bars in the centre (Crystal etc.) should all be open and will still be lively, especially Crystal and Pam Pam, which are also great places for people watching. They stay open pretty late.
All the restauarants in the centre should be open, though some beach restaurants may close in the evening - depends when in September you%26#39;re going, and also on the weather. Two of the very best beach restaurants, La Petite Plage and Bijou Plage, are open all year round.
Not too sure about hotels - we stay in a flat when we%26#39;re there - but if you don%26#39;t mind being a little away from the centre (15 min walk), Hotel Strelitzias is good, and is close (5 mins walk) to the public (i.e. free) beaches. Hotel Helios also nice, and is very well located (quiet but central), but probably a bit pricier.
