I’m trying to decide if I should stay 4 nights in Cannes and do a day trip to St tropez. Or should I stay 3 night at Cannes and 1 night at St tropez.
- how is the nightlife in St Tropez? Is it worth staying overnight for?
- if we decide to stay, we might drive in because we will be carrying our luggages. And, I’m thinking of driving in really early to avoid the rush. Will it be a problem finding a parking spot?

Hi,
If you have the time, I think St Tropez by night is special enough to stay close-by %26amp; not have worry about a long drive back. If you%26#39;re into night clubs, this is especially true as they start to pulsate late. You%26#39;ll find a few good posts here on the St Tropez forum about the night clubs.
Parking at the port is usually not a problem even in summer, if you get there early enough - the lot is huge. Late-comers have to walk a while from the edge of the new port to reach the old port and town, but no big deal. There%26#39;s a smaller parking at the Place des Lices which fills up fast.
If you%26#39;re visiting during the high season (summer), finding a hotel room, especially a reasonably priced one, may be an issue. If it is, consider Sainte-Maxime which in just across the bay. It has a large set of accommodations and a wider price ranges. Driving between Ste Maxime %26amp; St Trop is a pain in the summer, so if you must drive, time it right.
Enjoy!
