This change in Musée DÓrsay policy doesn't really affect us,

I go to their site to discover next year%26#39;s prices - and see this:

***Please note – new terms of admission***

All visitors, except those under 18, qualifying for free admission to the Museum, must collect a %26quot;free ticket%26quot; from the ticket desks even when accompanying visitors holding cards or tickets allowing them to enter the museum directly through entrance C.

//

This doesn%26#39;t mean that pass holders have to go to the ticket desk...it just means that people who don%26#39;t have passes but are students or what-not and accompany passholders must go to the ticket desk, right?

Right??

Yes -- a museum pass is NOT a free ticket. Go directly to the turnstiles.

Kids under 18 are free most places, so they don%26#39;t check IDs, as nationality doesn%26#39;t matter.

EU students (as in holding a permanent EU ID card, not an American student studying at a European university) are admitted for free up to age 26.

THOSE folks have to go to the desk to collect their free tickets, as they are verifying IDs.
