We are planning a last minute holiday flying to Paris. We are thinking of 5-7 days at the Croix du Vieux Pont camp and are wondering should we hire a car. The Keycamp airport transfers are nearly the price of the Camp accomo - anyone know of another way? Is it mad to attempt a Disney trip in high season with 2 boys(3 and 6 yrs)being 6mths pregnant? Have also looked at a CenterParcs site Les Bois France -any useful comparisons out there?

Hi there
I have never been to a Centre Parcs, either in France or the UK so can%26#39;t comment on that.
As for how to get to La Croix from CDG? Hiring a car is your absolute best bet. There are no train stations within walking distance (Soisson or Compiegne are the closest at 10m in either direction) Public transport is virtually non existent on Vic-sur-Aisne so, for us, a car is essential unless you stay on site for the whole of your holiday. This is perfectly feasible for you to do with your children as young as they are.
A day in DLP at 6 months pregnant? Would I do it? Probably yes. There are plenty of seats for you to rest on on your way round and your boys will not forget their day in DLP for a while, especially the 6 year old. Of course there will be long queues for many rides, but plan your day well and you should be able to do most of those suitable for the children. La Croix runs a bus to DLP - prices are around €17 per adult. How old the children have to be to pay I don%26#39;t know.
I don%26#39;t know of any other way to do the trip unless you take the train to either Siosson or Compiegne or even Villiers Coterets and arrange for a taxi from either of those to the site - cheaper than a transfer, but, in my opinion, not a good idea considering how long your day will have been before you get to CDG.
There is another option if you would rather not hire a car, but it would mean a different site and a train journey but your trip to DLP would be easier. Camping international in Maisson Laffitte is nearer to CDG and DLP although the facilites are no where near as good on site. It%26#39;s within walkin distance of the train station (15 mins) and is a beautiful, typically French suburb.
