Recommendation: 9 Days in Europe (Paris, Switzerland)

(Thanks for the folks who responsed on the hotel query- it just made it so easy).

We (2 adults + 2 kids) are flying in/out of Paris and have 9 days in Europe.

We are thinking of spending the first 3 days in Paris and then going to Switzerland (Geneva-Interlaken-Zurich-Paris).

- Is this the best use of time?

- Should we rent a car and do the entire thing via road? Or should be flying in to Geneva and fly out of Zurich and rent car for Switzerland? Or should we just do train?

- Or is it better to get 3 country saverpass?

Thanks much

Deepak

It would certainly be easy to do all 9 days in and near Paris. I think you should give Paris at least 5 days, though it depends on the age of your kids. Three days is not enough.

In Switzerland I would urge you to consider just going to one place, perhaps looking around briefly in a second place. We loved Murren, which is just south of Interlaken. It is absolutely gorgeous - no cars allowed and you can take the cable car up to the top of the hill. Wengen is in the same valley and you take the train all the way up the mountain.

Don%26#39;t try to do too much. Paris and one other locale would be lots to do in 9 days

My only experience is the train, which worked very well. Perhaps a train expert can give more advice on passes.
