The best place to tank a car in Tours (supermarket). Can anyone pls help? Thanks. Tom

As in the UK, you will not find supermarkets with filling stations in the centre of a large town; they are on the outskirts. There are two Auchans at Tours North, a Leclerc to the east at Ville aux Dames, a Carrefour at St Pierre des Corps, and an Auchan at Chambray les Tours. Which direction will you be arriving from, or leaving by?

Thanks for the info. I will be coming down from Paris (possibly route through Bois).Tom

The place I tend to fill when around Tours is at either the ELF garage or the Esso one opposite on RN10 at Veigne. The prices are comparable to supermarche prices, but you don%26#39;t have to get off the main road to find them.

If you are coming from Paris, either on the A10 motorway, or the former N10 (which just to confuse everybody has now been renumbered the D910)then your first opportunity is at Tours Nord, where there is a large Auchan at La Petite Arche, on Avenue André Maginot.
