Has anyone stayed at the 25 Rue du Bourg Tibourg apartment from ParisBestLodge? We are looking to rent an apartment April-May 2010. This one looks really nice but I would appreciate any feedback from people who have stayed there. My concerns are safety in the neighbourhood, quiet, easy walking distance to most sights

I have not yet stayed at that property but am booked for two weeks in September of this year. I can tell you that I spend a lot of time in this neighbourhood and is an excellent location. I have stayed at two of ParisBestLodge other properties in the past (as this propery was sold out for my other stays) and was finally lucky enough to book far enough in advance to get the Bourg Tibourg apartment for September.
If you read the reviews on the parisbestlodge site - I can tell you everything is spot on with this company and those reviews are from real people.
Thierry the owner of Parisbestlodge.com was amazing with his quick and helpful e-mail responses and his easy booking process.
I have recommended Parisbestlodge.com to all my friends and colleagues and already a co-worker has stayed in an apartment from Thierry and will be a repeat customer just like myself.
So I don%26#39;t think you can go wrong, and I hope you%26#39;re lucky enough to get one of Thierry%26#39;s apartments. I%26#39;m surprised if Bourg Tibourg is open this close to your stay - If you do there or any of Thierry%26#39;s properties, please post and let me know how it went.

I know this area very well as we have visited it many times over the past years. The street is a nice quiet street away from the noise on rue Rivoli or the larger crowds (and noise) near rue vieille du temple / rue Saint Croix de la Bretonnerie.
It is very safe, easy walking distance and close to ligne 1 of the metro.
If the apartment ends up booked, I%26#39;d also suggest looking near place des Vosges and near the Musee Picasso as those are also nice areas in Le Marais with a number of good apartments.

We have also rented twice from Thierry (Place des Voges and Napoleon apartment on rue Rivoli, both in the Marais). We love the area, it is so central to everything you want to see, plus there are lots of great restaurants, cafes, and bars in the area itself, in addition to great shopping, museums, etc. It%26#39;s our favourite area of Paris.
Thierry is fantastic to deal with, he has a very easy booking policy and is always available if you have questions or concerns.
Have a great trip.......Jo

Thanks for all the advice! I have signed up for this apartment and will let you all know how it turned out. Meanwhile, I am always grateful for the help I receive from the tripadvisor community on this and other forums.
